Whispers

Whispers
Of death
Of love
And betrayal
Ring in my ears
All those lies
Still hang
On your tongue
Broken Promises
Remaining
As the world
Falls away
And you begin to fade
Like dust in the wind
Your soul drifts away
And you think
Of the angel
In which
You turned away
All the while
Wishing
You could hear
Her whispered pact
To never let go
or hold back
To love you
Despite the storms
In which shall pass
Because true love
Was meant to last
But you threw
It all away
For a Whore
And a glass
Filled to the brim
Hell
Was it really worth it
In the end
Or do you want
What  you
Once had
Cheating fool
Never learns
And
For his ignorance
His blackened heart
Will pay
