Into the Darkness

They snarl and tear into your tender flesh

Pick at your flaws just to feel the bittersweet blood drip drop on their lolling tongues

Saliva laced jaws snap at every misstep and failing trip

Stumble on as they dawn their cruel razors into your existence

Fight for your right to survive and struggle on

Soon you will be immune to the agony clinging to your tired muscles and cratering bones

The brutality of their bite will strengthen you

Until you change and they scatter

Yelping in fear at the monster they have shaped you into

Your incisors sharper and your instincts sharper

Senses heightened and horrendous

The darkness born into your veins

Terrorizes them into meaningless rot
