Nowhere Wedding

Red lights linger in my harsh breathed bliss of burning kisses

That white dress laid out on my empty bed

Rustic ring in a deafening drawer

Your still here in this room with your James Dean smile

But our wedding bliss never unfolded

Colors dull and paintings drip with droplets of dreary confusion

You were a fleeting lover who covered himself in daisies and Crown

When the bells rang that day you left me at the chapel

Humiliated and dead inside

Because you were running and I was falling

Should have known you would not catch me
