Among them

I watched their expressionless souls implode
Egos inflated in intricate carved cruel ridden ceremonies
Faceless monstrosities camouflaged in tattered human flesh
Filthy atrocities parading chaos fueled carnage
Beasts berating themselves as kind creatures
But those grinning masks cast no spellbinding foolery upon me with their thin lipped invitations
I saw the demons dressed in predatory poised sockets hollowed by fake ferocious fear seeking faint glows
These species of spectral attention craving dehumanizing demeanors never made me tremble not even a bit
For they all screamed the same in their darkest hour of devour for none of them were oblivious to the stunning silvery pain
Their shadows discarded with the breaking of the blood red sun seething slinking silently above
Terror failing to tear apart those warriors whom dared to take that dire stand
