Fading Flame

Play pretend in a patriarch charade of closed dank curtains controlled by harsh hands

Facade of diamond and pearls in a malignant malevolent mansion of maiden masked misery

Smile for that Polaroid devoid of truth or paradise just dull dolls poised on a dust ridden shelf saved for a sweet hell

Another cigarette before the beating bloodied storm seeking to shake this fucked foundation floated on

When the tsunami treads ever closer calling for her consumption of the crumbs this shitty family has become

No vows remain unbroken .Your too damn cold to notice the weeping of our willowy silhouettes never touching

And I am too drunk and devastated to pay attention to the bland belittling of my dying love as the wallpaper peels in its grand reveal

I hate this hellhole and the distance dancing in your hollow hazel eyes

From my tower I watch you touch her soul in the same ways you used to ignite mine

But this flame has burned out along with this fakery we continue to courtesy

I won’t say a word as you bury me deeper and deeper in this dirty mattress

Stained with her scent and it kills me to recall that passion we paved .But it will be a dead end
