Ana and B

Beauty
She carved into her delicate skin
Starve and you will be a star
Kill your soul and you will go far
Make sure your waist is paper thin
Let Ana be your friend
She will show you how to fit in
One pound over and your life is over
Puke if you must
Give Bulimia your trust if you must
Do not mind how weak you have become
Because when everyone wants you
Will it matter
Can you take the pressure?
Because being bone thin is what it takes
Demons in your head
Will never let you sleep
Because being pretty has a price
To be beautiful
You have to die on the outside
Perfection is what you must be
At least that is how Ana sees
Her and B

She looks at her reflection
To see the darkest circles
Bones sticking out neath her skin
No more than a living skeleton
Starvation and Regurgitation
To be beautiful
She told herself
But there was nothing stunning to give her a smile
Only sadness she seemed to find
Recovering would take time
But Ana and B
Would never again be a part of her life
Because she wanted the weak feeling to end
To enjoy food again
And not stare at her own bones
Or pass out for false perfection
She just wanted to be herself
And live instead of die
