Charred Goodbyes

I stargaze among charred skies of ashen astroids around this crooked universe binding the blistered moon

I dare call my catastrophe clad heart

Ruins remain buried neath the rubble of hell ridden shame sprung from the spring throws of destructive love

For I cannot forget the day my sun failed to shine for it twas you who was the glittering glimmer of hope

But this dying tundra houses only what tethers you left behind

All the memoirs carved as painful reminders into the trunks of diseased trees

Whispers of your voice whisp through the artic wind of terrible times

Behind these walls so profound I shall drown an eternity for making the bittering mistake

Of trusting and love you
